Fortune's back from Australia and we have his TRASH! music video premier

This time last year, Fortune Shumba wasn’t even a Recruit at Umuzi, let alone a headline act on an international tour. Instead, Fortune was bouncing between odd jobs that made his life pretty below average. Fast forward to now, and he can officially call himself one of the hottest international acts, touring Australia.

Together with ez’Ntswembu, he shot a music video for his international killer hit TRASH!, and with his Australian tour coming to a close, we thought we’d drop the video to end his tour with a bang.

For a chance to shoot your own music video with ez’Ntswembu, check the deets at the bottom of the page.

“Toss that mother fucker in the trash…”

Fortune Shumba - part musician part strategist at Umuzi - was meant to be in Australia for one month performing at the Brisbane Festival and Big Sound. Over that month he was supposed to go there to preach the good word of love, acceptance, freedom (#LoveAF). But things didn’t work out that way.

Fortune’s message, music, style and unapologetic stance on men not being so damn trashy turned him into a crowd favourite instantly. So instead of doing his one month bout down under, he landed up staying an extra month when he was asked by prominent Australian band, Sticky Fingers, to be their opening act for the Australian leg of their tour.

From there he spread the message and good vibes across all major cities in Australia, ending with a show to over 8000 people. Want a taste of what that’s like? Take a look below…

But it wasn’t as epic when it started out. Check this exclusive interview with ez’Ntswembu after his first show…

After a wildly successful tour (with some amazing news we’re going to break as soon as our man gets back) Fortune is on his way home with shit to say. We’ll update you on his welcome home party where he’ll do a young performance for his #LoveAF peeps ekasi.
