Mandela 100 is Mo fire

Hailing from Bloem, Mo had the humble dream of being one of the top 100 students in the province when she finished school. Spoiler alert: she missed it by one distinction, and we're glad she didn't crack it, because that lit something inside her to get her to where she is now: the top 100 in. the. country. as part of the Mandela 100 by News 24, an initiative celebrating South African citizens who uphold Madiba's core values.

With a fire in her belly, a year at Umuzi, 3 months at Missing Link along with more freelance work and passion projects than we care to count, Mo's magic has officially taken centre stage.

But getting to the top ain't easy, especially for a female photographer. "People don't normally consider a female photographer and that has always been a thing for me. Why does it have to be like that?" She goes on to say how she's succeeded by staying real to herself and making sure that people accept her for who she is.

"I think everybody is strikingly beautiful in their own way and I want to show that to the world... I always want to see beyond what's there."

In the words of our late Madiba, "A good head and a good heart are a formidable combination," and it's clear to see that Mo's combo is on lock.
